Participants will receive their Zoom link to the class 30 minutes before each session.
This is a 6 week online course series in Chicana/o/x Psychology. This course is open to anyone with an interest in this content. This course examines the current and historical status of Mexican Americans in the field of psychology. Psychological research and theory on the cultural, societal, and historical influences on the well-being and characteristics of Mexican Americans will be explored. Each session will be 1.5 hours and evaluations sent to participants after each session. After evaluations are completed, participants will be emailed their Certificate of Session Attendance and after all 6 are completed they will receive a Certificate of Course Completion.
No external readings and no exams. Participants will be required to respond to what they learned in each session via an evaluation.
The classes will be recorded and the recorded sessions will be available for one week after the live date. So, participants may still receive credit if they view and respond to the evaluation of each session.
